Capturing Nature's Beauty: Two Artists Inspired by the Arboretum
Location: The Universtiy of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum
Event Dates: 10/29/2008 - 1/4/2009
Reception: 11/2/2008 • 2-4pm
Two artists begin with the same inspiration, follow their creative muses along separate paths, and present contrasting views. Karen Knutson offers the abstracted viewpoint, while I present a painterly realistic interpretation of The Landscape Arboretum's flora and landscapes. Two exhibition displays will outline the steps each artist followed in creating a painting rom the same inspirations, such as a scene from the crabapple grove. The exhibition will illustrate how differently two creative hearts & minds "see" the same world.
Educational programs will be scheduled during the exhibition.
